Former Cabinet Minister Sundar Sham Arora took the former Aam Aadmi Party cabinet minister to task and said that Brahm Shankar Jimpa was supposed to bring funds for the development works of Hoshiarpur Vidhan Sabha from the Aam Aadmi Party government. The funds worth crores of rupees that he had brought for the city's development while being a minister were taken back by the Aam Aadmi Party government and the city's development was affected. He disclosed this while inducting Darshan Laddar and his wife Sunita Laddar and dozens of colleagues into the Congress in ward number 39. Mr Arora said that the Congress has got a lot of strength with the Laddha couple joining the Congress family. He said that in the last Municipal Corporation elections, they had proved their mettle by contesting as independents and getting more than 800 votes. He is feeling very proud in inducting the Laddar couple into the Congress family. Arora said that the Laddar couple and their friends are heartily welcomed in the Congress family. He said that the Congress government has always implemented schemes for the progress of Punjab and the welfare of the people, in which along with waiving off electricity and water bills worth crores of rupees of the poor people of Punjab, huge relief was provided to the people by drastically reducing the rates of electricity and water. Mr Arora said that while being a minister, he had flooded Hoshiarpur with funds for development works and development works worth several thousand crores of rupees were carried out in the city and villages and government grants worth crores of rupees were also issued to institutions engaged in social and religious work, which is a record in Punjab. He said that digital library, food street, cycle track, bus shelter, city center, girl hostel in government college, Lajwanti multi game stadium etc. are the gifts of the Congress government. Till date, only the Congress government has worked for the progress and prosperity of Punjab. The people had given a chance to the Aam Aadmi Party in the hope of change, but their Punjab was pushed on the path of destruction. Today, the government has put a debt of thousands of crores due to which the progress of Punjab has been put on hold. Mr Arora said that there is no doubt that the Aam Aadmi Party has failed miserably on the economic front and has failed miserably in maintaining law and order. He assured that after the coming of the Congress government in Punjab, the development works of the wards will be done on priority basis. On this occasion, Advocate Ranjit Kumar Kitty, Vishwanath Bunty, Asha Dutta Councilor, Meena Sharma Councilor, Surekha Ratan Councilor, Ashok Mehra Councilor, Ashu Sharma, Youth Leader Rishi Adia, Manoj Lucky, Renu Laddha, Dimple, Anita Kumari, Shiv, Avatar, Jeet Ram, Ashwani Kumar, Bobby Pradhan, Palo and large number of ward residents were present.
