A special program was organized by District Red Cross Society today on the occasion of New Year, in which Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal distributed relief material to the needy. In this program, Quantum Paper Mill supported Red Cross Society under CSR, which is making a significant contribution in the field of social service.

During the program, sewing machines were distributed to the needy persons, motorized tricycles to the disabled, ration kits, hygiene kits and blankets. These items were distributed to those who are struggling to run their livelihood and become self-reliant in daily life.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal wished the people of the district a Happy New Year and said that the New Year is the time for all of us to take a new resolution. She said that we must ensure that we make every possible effort to help the needy people of our society. Only this collective effort will make the society better and stronger. She appealed to all to contribute to social service as per their capacity and come forward to help the needy.

Komal Mittal, on behalf of Quantum Paper Mill, expressed gratitude to District Red Cross Society for donating 50 motorized tricycles under CSR and assistance for Medical Relief Fund. Appreciating Quantum Paper Mill's commitment towards social service, she said that the contribution of such institutions provides great relief to the needy section of the society. She also praised District Red Cross Society and said that this organization is continuously playing a leading role in helping the needy. SDM Hoshiarpur Sanjeev Sharma, Secretary Red Cross Society Mangesh Sood, CEO Quantum Paper Mill were present in the program. Apart from Sushil Khaitan, Senior General Manager Agesh Kumar Gupta, Red Cross Society members Rajiv Bajaj, Vinod Ohri, Aajpal Singh Sani, Rakesh Kapila, Kumkum Sood, Karamjit Kaur Ahluwalia, Sneh Jain were also present.
