The Governing Council meeting of District Employment and Business Bureau (DBEE) was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson Komal Mittal. In the meeting, District Employment Officer Ramandeep Kaur gave detailed information on the activities and progress of DBEE.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the District Employment and Business Bureau is giving information about the schemes of various departments to unemployed candidates. Under this, various departments send their employees to DBEE as per the roster. She also emphasized on displaying information about these schemes in DBEE through flex/standees. During this, it was decided to organize a career conference related to self-employment, in which all self-employment departments were instructed to participate. She directed the officers of the District Education Department to organize a meeting of LPU with school counselors to conduct psychometric tests for students in government schools under the 'Disha Project' of LPU (Lovely Professional University). Senior LPU officer Varun Nair shared information about this project.

The Deputy Commissioner directed to display the details of the work being done by DBEE on the notice boards of schools. Apart from this, the District Program Officer and District Development and Panchayat Officer were instructed to promote the information of DBEE mobile app through Anganwadi workers and Panchayat secretaries.

Komal Mittal directed the District Industries Center (DIC) to provide information about new industries and companies being set up in the district to DBEE, so that employment opportunities can be provided to unemployed youth. She directed the Assistant Labor Commissioner to provide the list of outsourced agencies to DBEE, so that needy candidates can be provided employment through these agencies. She instructed the Youth Welfare Officer to include DBEE in the activities being organized for the youth, so that more and more people can take advantage of the services being provided by DBEE.

District Development and Panchayat Officer Kirandeep, Placement Officer Rakesh Kumar, Career Counselor Aditya Rana, Deputy DEO Dheeraj Vashisht, District Guidance Officer Amrik Singh, District Manager of SC Corporation Nareshwar Singh, Function Manager of District Industry Center Pooja, Child Development Project Officer Daya Rani and officers of other related departments were present in the meeting.
