Eye checkup camp organized for drivers

Under the National Road Safety Month 2025, a special eye checkup camp was organized for drivers at Hoshiarpur Institute of Automotive and Driving Skills (HIADS) today under the leadership of Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Ravinder Singh Gill.

This camp was organized in collaboration with HIADS Manager Principal and Health Department team. The main objective of the program was to promote road safety and ensure the health of drivers by checking their eyes. An expert team of doctors from the Health Department examined the eyes of 120 drivers. During the examination, various eye-related problems were detected and appropriate medical advice was given. In the camp, drivers were also made aware that regular eye checkup can reduce accidents and ensure their safety on the road.

Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill said that better vision is very important for safe driving on the road. Such camps not only take care of the health of drivers but also promote road safety. He thanked the local administration and the civil surgeon's team for their cooperation.
