Road Safety Awareness Camp Organized
- 25 students trained as Road Safety Volunteers

As per the directions of Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal, under the National Road Safety Month 2025, a road safety awareness camp was organized at DAV College, Dasuha in collaboration with Regional Transport Officer, District Police and Nehru Yuva Kendra. Shivi Shivaye Welfare Society Talwara also had a special contribution in this event.
Giving information, Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill said that during the camp, 25 students were trained as road safety volunteers and were deployed on the roads in collaboration with the traffic police. The aim of these volunteers is to spread the message of road safety and make people aware to reduce road accidents.
Regional Transport Officer Ravinder Singh Gill distributed 40 helmets free of cost on this occasion. He especially made the students aware of the need to wear helmets and the importance of following road safety rules. Wearing a helmet was described as an important part of life saving.
It is worth noting that the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan is running a road safety awareness campaign across the country from 17 to 23 January 2025. In this campaign, young volunteers are being trained in collaboration with the traffic police department so that they can spread the message of road safety in the community. In Hoshiarpur district, 25 'My Bharat' volunteers were trained at the district level and have been deployed with traffic police staff at various places in the city till January 23.
