R-Day: IG Intelligence takes stock of security arrangements
11 inter-state/inter-district Nakas in place, 1,200 police officials deployed to ensure law and order

In view of upcoming Republic Day celebrations, Inspector General of Police (intelligence) Babu Lal Meena today reviews the security arrangements in the district besides directing the police officials to be fully vigilant so that law and order could be maintained.
Accompanied by SSP Surendra Lamba, IG Babu Lal Meena held a meeting district police officials at local administrative complex where he directed them to intensify checking and night domination. He said that the security should be beefed up at main function site as well as the other busy locations in the district.
The IG also took round of police lines ground, bus stand and Sadar police station to oversee the security measures and instructed the police officials to thoroughly check the two-wheelers in the night hours especially in the night hours.
He emphasised that the night domination should be taken to keep a close eye on suspicious activities, if any. Interacting with the media persons, IG Meena mentioned that nearly 1,200 police officials had been deployed across the district besides putting 11 inter-state and inter-district nakas in place for security purpose.
