Rayat Bahra Institute of Engineering and Nano Technology Signs MoU with IBM for Academic and Technical Collaboration

Rayat Bahra Institute of Engineering and Nano Technology has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IBM. The objective of this collaboration is to promote academic and research partnership between the two institutions, paving the way for mutual development and prosperity.
During the ceremony, Rayat Bahra Group Chairman Gurvinder Singh Bahra welcomed IBM officail Rohit Nanda, IBM SME Anjali Bakshi, and Robin Tyagi. On this occasion, he mentioned that this is the first college in Punjab to sign such an MoU with IBM. Chairman Bahra stated that IBM is a leading and prestigious name in the field of technology and information technology. The aim of this agreement is to empower students with advanced technical skills and professional knowledge, enabling them to be fully prepared for global employment opportunities.
He further elaborated that under this partnership, students would be trained in new and advanced technologies, preparing them for global job opportunities. Additionally, through professional training, students' problem-solving skills and business acumen will be strengthened, helping them reach new heights in their careers.
Campus Director Dr. Chander Mohan, in his address, stated that this MoU marks a historic step between Rayat Bahra Group and IBM, which will be highly beneficial for engineering students. He explained that this agreement will provide students with advanced technical knowledge and professional training, preparing them to meet global standards. This initiative will offer students the opportunity to learn about new and emerging technologies. Under this MoU, IBM will also arrange various Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) for faculty members.
Moreover, Director-Principal Dr. Gurjeet Singh, in his address, highlighted that this agreement will not only provide students with advanced technical knowledge but will also fully prepare them for the professional world. He mentioned that mock interviews will be arranged as part of the MoU, allowing students to practice real interview experiences, boosting their confidence for job applications. Additionally, more than 25 companies will be invited to the IBM campus, providing students with more placement opportunities.
On this occasion, Sakshi Mehta, Director of Alpha Finishing School, congratulated the group on this achievement and shared her vision for students' development. She expressed that this MoU will prove to be a milestone for students' futures, as it will not only provide them with advanced technical knowledge but also enhance their professional and personal capabilities.
In conclusion, Engineer Simarpreet Singh expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests present at the ceremony. The event was attended by the Campus Director-Principal, department heads, and the entire college staff.
