A three-day seminar organized by the State Institute of Rural Development (SIRD), Punjab, at the BDPO office in Hajipur became a hub of learning and inspiration for the newly elected Panchayats of Hajipur block. Renowned educationist and journalist Sanjiv Kumar delivered a thought-provoking session, emphasizing the critical role of education, transparency, and innovation in governance.
During his address, Sanjiv Kumar urged the Panchayat members to adopt visionary approaches for the holistic development of their villages, highlighting the importance of community participation in achieving sustainable growth.
Amarjit Kaur, SHO Hajipur, appealed to the Panchayats to work toward creating drug-free villages. She assured the attendees of the police department's full cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. BDPO Hajipur, Vikram, also guided the Panchayat members on various government schemes, encouraging them to utilize these initiatives for the benefit of their constituents.
The seminar included sessions by resource persons Neha Sharma and Prabhjot Singh, who provided valuable insights into governance, participatory development, and rural policies. They shared practical strategies aimed at bringing transformative changes to grassroots governance.
The initiative received an overwhelming response, with the Panchayat members appreciating the efforts of SIRD Punjab and the resource persons for empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to lead their villages toward a brighter future.
