On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Braille Script and the 173rd death anniversary of Dr. Louis Braille (born January 4, 1809, and died January 6, 1852), who developed Braille Script, a program to honor the teachers of Braille was organised by Alliance Club International District 119  at 108 Sant Narayan Das Blind School Bahowal. District Governor Ally. Ramesh Kumar, PDG Ally. Advocate S.P. Rana, Advocate Narinder Kumar Joshi, and Ally. Ashok Puri were specially present on the occasion.

Remembering Dr. Louis Braille on his 173rd death anniversary, discussions were held on his significant contribution to the blind, and it was noted that despite the Braille script being developed 200 years ago, it still needs to reach many blind people. The principal of this blind school, Mrs. Malti Devi, Braille teacher Chandrabhan, and the institution's president Attar Singh were honoured with the "Louis Braille Award" by the Alliance Club .

On this occasion, Ally. Ashok Puri said that a blind cricket tournament was organized between the teams of Punjab and Delhi on the birth anniversary of Dr. Louis Braille, which is a great achievement. The entire team of Alliance Club appreciated this effort for the development of the blind by the institution.  Ally. Advocate S.P. Rana, Narinder Kumar Joshi, Ally. Ashok Puri, and District Governor Ally. Ramesh Kumar were honoured for the contribution of Ally. Ramesh Kumar  and his colleagues in organizing this tournament .

After this, the blind students sang the song "Jinke Mahan Kaam Ne Hame Insan Bana Dia, Parm Pita Parmeshwar Ne Hame Farishta Bana Dia"  written by Attar Singh Ji, 

At the end of the program, the president of the institution, Attar Singh Ji, thanked Ally. Ashok Puri and the representatives of the Alliance Club for their social service and contribution to the awareness campaign in society for the blind and requested to continue such efforts in the future also. The main manager of this program was Yogesh Kumar.
