 MP Dr. Raj paid obeisance at Kashi commemorating Ravidas Jayanti

Guru Ravidas Jayanti, a day of profound significance for the followers of Sant Ravidas, is being celebrated with immense fervor and devotion across the state. The celebrations have been particularly vibrant in the Doaba region, where Shobha Yatras have been underway for several days, drawing thousands of devotees.

This year, as in previous years, a large number of devotees have embarked on a pilgrimage to Kashi (Varanasi), the birthplace of Guru Ravidas, to mark the auspicious occasion. Leading the sacred journey is Sant Naranjan Das of Dera Sach Khand Ballan, who travelled aboard the Beghampura Express along with lakhs of devotees. They offered prayers and paid homage to the great saint at Seer Govardhan Dham in Kashi.

Dr. Raj Kumar, Member of Parliament from the Hoshiarpur constituency, also joined the pilgrimage in Kashi to participate in the celebrations. During his visit, he paid his respects at Seer Govardhan Dham and sought the blessings of Sant Naranjan Das. In a heartwarming gesture, Sant Naranjan Das honored Dr. Raj Kumar by presenting him with a memorial picture of Guru Ravidas.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Raj Kumar said, “It is a moment of great fortune for me to be able to pay my respects at Kashi on this auspicious day. I am deeply honored to receive the blessings of revered Sant Niranjan Das of Dera Ballan. This divine occasion strengthens my faith and connection to the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji.”
