 Annual Sports Meet Held at Karmasar College

The 53rd Annual Sports Meet of Government College, Karmasar, Raara Sahib was held under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Mohammad Irfan and directions of sports in-charge, Prof. Sukhjeet Singh. Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji Rara Sahib inaugurated the function. Dr. Mohammad Jamil Bali graced the inauguration ceremony as a Special Guest. While addressing the students, Sant Baba Baljinder Singh Ji emphasized that students should pay attention to both sports and other activities, as these efforts enable overall personality development.  It is noteworthy that the college students participated in various competitions like races, long jump, high jump, and shot put, achieving significant accomplishments. The Prize Distribution Ceremony was presided over by the honorable MLA of Halqa Payal, Engineer Manvinder Singh Gyaspura, while State Awardee Madam Shakuran Begum was present as the special guest.  College student Savita Rani was declared the best athlete in the girls’ category, whereas in the boys’ category, Dhanveer Singh and Bhavdeep Singh jointly earned the title of best athlete. Among the service staff, Dharamjeet Singh, Balwinder Singh, and Deepak secured the first, second, and third places, respectively.  In the musical chair race, Manvinder Singh Gyaspura took first place, Principal Dr. Mohammad Irfan took second, and Sarpanch Mandeep Singh Bhikhi secured third place.  In the teaching staff race, Sukhvir Kaur Boparai secured first place, Prof. Lavina Khan came second, and Prof. Poonam achieved the third position. Prominent sports promoter Master Bhupinder Singh Ghaloti Ji was specially honored for his efforts towards the college.  Prof. Jagdeep Singh provided significant technical support for the event. For the event the stage was well managed by Prof. Inderpal Singh and Prof. Varinder Singh. 

Former Principal Shri Harmesh Lal, Prof. Prakash Singh, Prof. Rupinder Kaur Grewal, Dr. Chiragdin Malik, Dr. Siraj Bali, Mrs. Jamila Bhatti, Mrs. Farida, Sh. Furqan, Zubi, Nazia, Shabaz Khan, Sarpanch Davinder Singh Raara Sahib, Sarpanch Mandeep Singh Katahari, Sarpanch Mandeep Singh Bhikhi, Sarpanch Harvinder Singh Ghanghas, Sarpanch Jagjeet Singh Karmasar, Sarpanch Lucky Aujla Gharala, Sarpanch Pragat Singh Siaarh, former Sarpanch Davinder Singh Jhabewal, Prof. Hargurpratap Singh, Prof. Vineet Kumar, Prof. Alok Shukla, and several others were present on the occasion.
