Deputy Speaker Rouri inaugurated the project of using pond water for irrigation at a cost of more than 13 lakhs.

The Soil and Water Conservation Department Punjab has done an underground pipeline project by lifting water from the pond in village Tabba of the area, which was inaugurated by the constituency MLA and Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri. Earlier, while addressing a function, Mr. Rouri said that the pond of the village is very big and due to excess water filling in it during rainy days, water used to enter people's houses, due to which the villagers had to face problems. He said that keeping in view the demand of the villagers, this project costing more than 13 lakhs will provide water for irrigation to 25 acres of land, which will greatly benefit the concerned farmers. Mr. Rouri said that this project will be operated through solar system. On this occasion Charanjit Singh Channi, Vijay Kumar Sarpanch Tabba, Mahinder Singh former Sarpanch, Ashok Kumar, Satpal Singh, Karam Chand, Mahinder Pal, Charanjit Panch, Desh Raj Panch Harpreet Singh Bath Divisional Land Conservation Officer, Amarjit Singh etc were present.
