– The Ahmadiyya Mosque in the Kanak Mandi area of Hoshiarpur witnessed a vibrant Eid-ul-Fitr celebration this morning, as the community gathered with great enthusiasm to offer prayers. The Eid prayer was led by Maulvi Mohammad Talha from Indonesia, followed by an inspiring Sermon by Sheikh Mannan. In his sermon, Sheikh Mannan emphasized that empathy and compassion toward humanity are among the highest forms of worship and serve as exemplary paths to attaining Allah’s pleasure, echoing the teachings of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani.

The sacred month of Ramadan, filled with countless blessings, culminates in the joyous festival of Eid-ul-Fitr—a day when Muslims express gratitude to Allah while celebrating together. Sheikh Mannan highlighted that Eid promotes values such as peace, empathy, service to the poor, and love for humanity—virtues deeply embedded in the lessons of Ramadan. He urged the congregation to internalize these teachings and carry forward the spirit of Ramadan, stating that Eid is not just a celebration but a reflection of the moral and spiritual enrichment gained during the holy month.

Sheikh Mannan elaborated on the essence of Islamic teachings, explaining that Islam upholds both the fulfillment of Allah’s rights and the service of His creation. He stressed that compassion for humanity and the obligatory practice of charity, such as Sadaqat-ul-Fitr, ensure that the less fortunate can also partake in the joy of Eid. “A Muslim’s Eid is truly complete only when they share their joy with those in need,” he remarked.

Quoting the founder of the Jamaat Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Sahib, Sheikh Mannan reaffirmed, “Compassion for humanity is the highest form of worship and the most effective way to earn Allah’s favor.” He also conveyed the Eid message of the spiritual leader of the  Jamaat Ahmadiyya, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad Sahib, who stated, “Eid is not merely a day of celebration; it is an opportunity to renew our commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to us by Allah, with even greater dedication than on ordinary days. We must uphold both our worship and our duties toward others.”

On this auspicious occasion, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat India extended heartfelt greetings to all citizens and offered prayers for the unity, integrity, progress, and peace of the nation. The event was attended by numerous community members, including Baljit Nanhar, Shamsher Khan, Saddam Hussain, Walid Ahmad, Rustam, Rabban, and many others.

Eid-ul-Fitr in Hoshiarpur was not just a religious observance but a reaffirmation of humanity, unity, and goodwill, strengthening the bonds of compassion and service within the community.
