Punjab Government puts new milestones in education field: Bram Shanker Jimpa
MLA begins admission drive at Government Elementary Smart School, Shergarh and Aslamabad

Local MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa on Thursday launched the admission drive in Government Schoosls from Government Elementary Smart School Shergarh and Government Elementary Smart School, Aslamabad.
After launching the campaign, MLA Bram Shanker Jimpa said that the Punjab Government had made phenomenal development strides in the field of education thus upgrading the standard of education, basic amenities and facilities at its schools.
In presence of teachers of both the schools and dignitaries of the areas, the MLA said that the Punjab Government was providing every facility in government schools, including free books, free uniforms, mid-day meals, educational tours, etc. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, so far six batches of principals and teachers had successfully got training in Singapore and Finland, which is a historic decision of the state government. A few days back, the Punjab government has sent a group of 72 primary cadre teachers to the University of Turku in Finland for a 10-day training. He said that these training sessions will be helpful in making the future of the students more bright.
Talking about the facilities in government schools, MLA Jimpa said that at present the infrastructure and level of education of government schools had been made excellent. He appealed the people to get their children admitted in Government Schoolsfor which people should send their children to these schools. He said that the Punjab government has released Rs. 145.75 crore for security and cleanliness arrangements in schools and more than 1900 campus managers have been recruited for schools across Punjab. As many as, 118 schools had been converted into Schools of Eminence and Rs. 143 crore has been released for strengthening the infrastructure of these schools during 2024-25, said Jimpa adding education and health sectors were in the foremost priorities of the Government.
At Government Elementary Smart School Shergarh, Jimpa also flagged off the awareness vehicle while in Government Elementary Smart School Aslamabad, he said that the Punjab government is making all out efforts for each and every facility for students in schools. On this occasion, besides school principals, staff, Mayor Surinder Kumar, members of the Gau Sewa Commission Jaspal Chechi, Sandeep Chechi, Manoj Dutta, Prof. Bahadur Singh Sanet, Panch Rajinder Shergarh, Jagtar Singh, Mukhi Ram and others were also present.
