 Shri Agr-Bhagwat Katha" to Commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan

Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan, one of the most esteemed and oldest social organizations of the Agrawal community, is celebrating its 50th Golden Jubilee this year. To mark this historic occasion, the Punjab State Unit and Hoshiarpur District Unit of the organization are jointly organizing a grand "Shri Agr-Bhagwat Katha."

The three-day spiritual event will take place on March 1, 2, and 3, 2025, at City Center, near Service Club, Hoshiarpur, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM each day. The revered Pandit Sachin Shastri Ji, a renowned Agra-Bhagwat Katha narrator, will grace the event as the chief speaker. The program will witness the esteemed presence of Gopal Sharan Garg, National President of Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan, as the chief guest, while Surendra Agrawal, Punjab State President, will preside over the event. Additionally, several prominent dignitaries from Punjab will also attend the grand event.

A Glimpse into the Life of Maharaja Agrasen

During the Katha, a large digital screen will showcase the inspiring life and contributions of Maharaja Agrasen Ji, allowing devotees to gain a deeper understanding of his principles and legacy. To further engage the attendees, a special stall featuring literature and promotional materials related to Maharaja Agrasen Ji and the Agrawal community will be set up. Additionally, prasad distribution will take place daily after the Katha.

Maharaja Agrasen's Principles and Their Relevance Today

Maharaja Agrasen Ji, who was born approximately 5,178 years ago at the transition of Dwapar Yuga and Kaliyuga, laid the foundation for righteousness, non-violence, equality, and humanity. His "One Brick, One Rupee" tradition remains a timeless symbol of self-reliance. His ideologies—women empowerment, respect for women, farmer welfare, "Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao" (Save and Educate the Girl Child), and opposition to animal sacrifice in rituals—continue to be highly relevant in today’s society.
