Better management and infrastructure ensured in the schools of the district with an amount of Rs 50 crore
Major reforms will be done in the education sector with about Rs 18 thousand crore kept in the budget by the Punjab government
Hoshiarpur/ April 9/Daljeet Ajnoha Under the 'Punjab Education Revolution', MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa today inaugurated the works done in Government Primary and Government High School Bassi Ghulam Hussain at a cost of Rs 35 lakh and said that about Rs 50 crore has been spent during the last three years for the all-round development of the schools of Hoshiarpur district.
Member Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, District Education Officer Lalita Arora and school staff on the occasion of inauguration of the works, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab government is providing every modern facility to the students by bringing major reforms in the field of education. He said that at present, due to the establishment of the best infrastructure, a record increase has been registered in the level of government schools. He said that due to the special attention given to the education sector by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, a provision of about Rs 18,000 crore has been made in the budget, which will further strengthen the all-round development of government schools.
MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said that a laboratory has been constructed at a cost of more than Rs 13 lakh, a computer lab at a cost of Rs 10 lakh and a basketball ground at a cost of Rs 5 lakh in Government High School Bassi Ghulam Hussain. Similarly, while inaugurating rooms constructed at a cost of Rs 7.50 lakh in a government primary school, MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa said that toilets have been constructed for children with special needs at a cost of Rs 2 lakh and school toilets have been repaired at a cost of Rs 1.50 lakh. He said that no stone will be left unturned to further strengthen the existing infrastructure in all the schools of the district so that the students can get every necessary facility along with quality education.
Talking about the training of teachers abroad by the Punjab government, MLA Jimpa said that this training would be very beneficial for the teachers and students. He said that the students of Hoshiarpur district have also been taken on educational tours to various places by the government, which has increased their intellectual level. On this occasion, apart from others, Sarpanch Sukhjinder Singh, Santosh Saini, Kanchan Deol, Kamaljit Grewal, Rajan Saini, Sarpanch Harbilas, Sarpanch Lucky etc. were also present.
