Prof. Dr. Amrik Singh, Head of the Department of Physical Education at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, has been appointed as an official for the 3rd World Kabaddi Cup to be held on April 26, 2025, in Perth, Australia. The prestigious tournament is being organized by the Gladiator Club and will feature top-level boys' teams from six countries.

According to organizer Swarn Singh Gholia, teams from India, Pakistan, Canada, the USA, New Zealand, and England will be participating in the event. The winner of the tournament will receive a cash prize of $31,000, while the runner-up will be awarded $25,000. These prizes will be presented by Maninder Sandhu, Manjinder Gill, Sukhbir Tiwana, and Kulwinder Mudhi.

Thanks to the support of NRI patrons, each participating team will also receive $21,000. In addition, the Best Raider and Best Stopper of the tournament will be honored with a cash prize of $21,000 each.

Roshan Lal Sharma, a state awardee and international kabaddi referee from Kapurthala, extended his best wishes to the organizers—Swarn Singh Gholia, Manjinder Gill, and Maninder Sandhu. Arjuna Awardee Balwinder Fidda, kabaddi coach Madan Lal, and coach Charanjit also sent their heartfelt wishes for the success of the event.

Special seating arrangements have been made for women spectators. This tournament is expected to be a significant step in promoting kabaddi at the global level.
